The Sago Palm is
one of the most popular ornamentals available for
producing an exotic yet versatile landscape design.
A native of East Asia, the subtropical Sago Palm
has a robust and upright trunk up to 12 inches in
diameter with stiff, feather-like leaves radiating
in a circular pattern. Foliage appears in periodic
"flushes" of new leaves, and spread can
reach 6 feet. The Sago Palm is easy to grow. It
is hardy to 15 degrees in either full or partial
sun. Long-lived, durable, and slow growing, this
stunning plant provides either focal interest or
lush understory amid larger trees. |
