The Queen
Palm is used extensively in Southern California
landscaping, particularly to emphasize tropical
or semi-tropical themes along the coast or in inland
valleys. Its glossy green fronds are showy and graceful,
and it is also used widely in interior plantings,
such as malls, hotels, and office building atriums.
The Queen Palm is hardy to 25 degrees and does best
in cooler areas, outside the harsh desert regions
of the Southwest. It is a fast grower and will reach
an ultimate height of 30-50 feet with ample water
and fertilizer.
