The
Mexican Fan Palm is commonly used throughout the
low and high desert regions of the Southwest as
well as along the coast to lend scale to tall buildings
and make a striking vertical statement along streets
and drives and around parking areas. This versatile
tree is hardy to 15 degrees and withstands hot,
harsh desert conditions. Commercially available
in sizes up to 30 feet, the Mexican Fan Palm will
reach a height of 100 feet with rapid growth of
up to two feet per year with ample water. A low-maintenance
tree, the Mexican Fan Palm achieves its most effective
appearance with annual pruning. |
