Giant
Timber Bamboo is a semi-tropical, clumping bamboo
that grows rapidly for use as an effective privacy
screen. Unlike some bamboos, Giant Timber Bamboo
is easily managed and not inclined to invasive spreading.
Its light green, thick-walled culms, clean columnar
habit of growth, and wide leaves make it a favorite
not only for quick screening but also as a dramatic
specimen placement. The Giant Timber Bamboo grows
to forty feet with a culm diameter of 4 inches.
It is hardy to 15 degrees.
